updates of what transpired...

on the way to pick up hunny, i took the initiative to SMS my "old friend with a message that said "i didn't like how our YM conversation ended. i was segue-ing to the point where i wanted so say i miss your company. anyway, have a nice sunday". he replied with the following message "i logged on to make peace but you disconnected already. you have a nice sunday, too".

i found his immediate disconnection quite rude. what i found even more rude was the fact that i had to make the first move since he already "logged on to make peace". he could've sent me an SMS. anyway, he really is like his bestfriend, they really don't make the first move to get things fixed, they just sit and wait for things to work themselves out.

i don't understand how people can just let problems sit and pretend they're not happening. it's not like problems will solve themselves... it'll just be a temporary solution, then the whole thing will blow up in their faces.

my astrohyper friend offered some advice (names have been edited out, as usual)

astro: I think i have a reason. they're not like me who can be friends with both. nahihirapan sila sa situation nyo ni *** (my ex) since they are friends with him as well (disregard the years since friendship knows no bounds) they PROBABLY and i'm just using my reasoning here, that they would rather not hang out with EITHER of you two until the dust settles. alam mo yun.

me: on the contrary, they hang out with *** (my ex)... although *** (my ex) seems to have gone to his old friends who he didn't like hanging out with before. anyway... personally, the dust won't settle unless *** (my ex) makes the first move. taas pa rin ng pride ko
.

astro gave me a very astro answer, which is why people love him and why i love him, too... the reason is as follows:

bahala kayo ni ***(my ex). basta ako wala na ako dyan. i wont help sa problems nyo. nor will wil butt in. basta ako ang alam ko you're my friend, he's my friend. tapos.

i wonder why more people can't be like him... be more mature. be more honest. oh, well... utopia is still a million years away. til then, c'est la vie!
