friends

there are some friends worth keeping and some who aren't... sometimes we invest so much in friends, giving them chances and access to our lives, but we end up getting betrayed. these are the types of friends worth discarding.

then, there are friends who stick with us through thick and thin, friends who tell us to our faces the wrong we have done, friends who aren't afraid of hurting us with the truth because it will make us better people. these are the people i keep and cherish.

many people take the term friend lightly... for some people, just because they know the other person or have hung-out with them a few times, they're friends already. truth is, they're just acquaintances... they hardly know each other.

a true friend is one who knows you inside and out... someone who knows your quirks, your likes, dislikes... what makes you happy and sad... a true friend loves you for who you are and who you can still become.
