footloose

the day started ok for me... went to the mall to meet up with Bur. Had lunch and a talk, then proceeded to client meeting. Client meeting went well but he's just too barat (stingy). He was asking for a rate way lower than my already-low rate. I offered him a twenty percent discount from my usual rate and he wanted a fifty percent discount. IMAGINE THAT!!!

Anyway, accompanied Bur to Ateneo for open auditions for Footloose... was having cold feet auditioning but auditioned nonetheless. I felt really sick before auditions, felt like i was going to develop a fever. Anyway, after some thought (and being encouraged to audition because other people auditioning were not so good), I decided to throw caution to the wind. Nothing to lose, everything to gain.

My audition piece? "Amazing Grace".

I started to sing in a comfortable pitch. The musical director asked me if i could sing a pitch higher, which i did. I got a callback for October 18. Basically, after listening to the songs they asked me to learn, I'm to play the bad boy

Bur told me that the musical director asking for a higher pitch is a good sign because that's what they do in Atlantis auditions... hmmm....
