Christmas Day

Woke up later than usual today... it was a pretty good day... opened presents... got lotsa clothes. Well, i received a few gifts, i'm waiting for other gifts if, and when, they come.

Gifts I received this year and who they're from:
1. A scented pillow that relaxes me enough each time i smell it from Mommy JP
2. A&F Fierce and a hanging spiderman stuffed toy from Edil
3. A cap and a ballpen set from my brother
4. Hand wash and alcogel from my older sister
5. A polo and a sleeveless muscle shirt from my mom and dad
6. An astroboy shirt from my sister and her boyfriend. This one is one of my favourites... people who know me know my love for astroboy and spiderman... and since astroboy is more of a novelty these days, i got really excited with this present.

I think that's partly what makes christmas the season that it is... most people say it's in the giving, but for me, it's all about the receiving already. I haven't even done my christmas shopping at all.

Anyway, we visited family today, then we went to Market Market.

The place is not bad at all... it's like a better version of Tutuban Center. Prices were really affordable. I didn't expect to spend money today, but i ended up buying myself 2 shirts for a grand total of 550. Not bad at all.

As for the food, Sizzling Seafood and Brod Pete at Food Choices were the best deals in the house. No lines, good food, and very affordable prices.

Went to Eastwood City afterwards. Saw choirs perform and fireworks... i have firefighter training tomorrow... wish me luck :D

Chirstmas eve

I'm planning to retire early today... It's christmas eve and i don't feel the christmas spirit. i've only greeted very few people a merry christmas... and these are usually random people whose days i want to brighten. Security guards, parking tellers, and the like.

Anyway, this morning, i was tending the store. An old man came by and was waving hello to me. Good thing my dad was beside me. He recognized the guy as a Barangay worker asking for a christmas present. Later, he said that he thought I was my mom. IMAGINE THAT! I'd rather take that as a compliment because my mom's pretty, but i couldn't help feeling offended.

First and foremost, I am a guy. My mom, obviously, is a woman.
Second, I'm 5'8" tall. My mom is 4'11.
Third, I don't have boobs. My chest may be defined, but they're not boobs.

Maybe it was the hair... maybe the man needed glasses badly... what the heck.

Anyway, I dropped by Shangri-La Mall today. Lots of people there doing last minute shopping and stuff. Traffic was bad in the mall area, but generally okay everywhere else.

Christmas, Bah Humbug!

Getting Paid and spending it

I finally got paid by the Philippine Tourism Authority. Not before I had to call their accounting department and encountered this bitch of an accounting woman on the phone. I was talking to her very politely and she responded in a hostile manner. How rude some people can get. Tita Ayette said that I should have said I was a consultant to the General Manager and see how fast they'd get off their lazy asses to assist me.

Anyway, after that, I had a photo shoot for my client. My good friend Niccolo took wonderful photos and our models were very game. It was a fun photo shoot. I got to do some model styling and food styling. Fun fun fun! Went out with the models after that. We went to a videoke bar and sang some songs. One of the girls had a crush on me, hahahahaha!

After that, went to the Fire Brigade Christmas Party. Food fest, drink fest, and a karaoke machine to boost the night. Had a grand time.

spending for the day? 500 with the models, 100 for the Christmas Party food, 300 for the softdrinks, 100 for the beer, 20 for the contest. Total spending 1,020. Not bad at all.

What ruined the night was a fire alarm sent out by the Makati Fire Brigade. As usual, those pricks were selfish with the fire alarms. They released a 1st alarm. I went to verify and found out that the place was already completely torched and there was no fire anymore. A situation like that would have merited a third alarm already in any other area. They just released a fire alarm to say that they did. The damage was an office area that was 25 meters wide. Those people will never learn. They'll just keep doing that until more lives and more property are lost. Tsk tsk...

that's why the country is not progressing

i've been calling a government office... they're all supposed to be reporting from 7am to 4 pm these days. I called at 9 am... they're all not there yet. Imagine that... and when you call at 4 pm, they're all gone already. Quite a dissapointment.

The same thing applies with anyone in the government. Edil and I were discussing that the other day... How politicians should stop politicking and start serving the people. The mere fact that they call for a "stop in politicking" is purely politicking. I can't wait for them to stop talking and start working.

Edil and I agreed that we both don't have anything against people stealing from government, as long as their performance outweights what they steal. Take Bayani Fernando, for example. Everyone knows he profited from the developments in Marikina... but you can see the huge difference of Marikina from the way it was before.

Extremely Annoyed

I know dreams are portents of things to come... I've been waiting over a year to get paid by the Philippine Tourism Authority. Just before waking up, I had a dream that I was causing a ruckus at the PTA. I was cursing the Marketing Head because it's with her department where all this financial ruckus started .

This morning, I tried to call the PTA, the contact person was not yet there... after that, I received a call that they were having trouble with accounting that I had to call accounting myself.... If i don't get my pay today, I'll storm into the PTA Governor's office and ask him to personally intervene.

Wish me luck

The past and the present

I brought Edil around today... showed him some places to go. We also bought tickets for our Baguio trip.

After all of those things, we met up with my ex. We updated each other with what's been happening with us... we also talked about current happenings. I gave advice and my points of view.

I thought I'd have a weird time with my ex... but things haven't changed. We're still friends. I guess relationships that start from genuine friendship, even when it ends, will always end up in friendship.

Karma and other things

I kinda felt bad... i was blog browsing again and read that Jepoy's come back to the country... Al didn't tell me... Jepoy didn't contact me.... oh, well... they must have their own reasons...

ANyway, I love this song by Alicia Key's... It's called KARMA

Weren't you the one that said, that you don't want me anymore.
And how you need your space, and give the keys back to your door.
And how I cried and tried and tried to make you stay with me.
But still you said that love was gone, and that I had to leave.
Now you, talkin bout a family
Now you, sayin I complete your dream
Now you, sayin I'm your everything
You confusin me
What you say to me
Don't play with me
Don't play with me.
Cause what goes around, comes around.
What goes up, must come down.
Now who's cryin, desirin to come back to me
What goes around, comes around.
What goes up, must come down.
Now who's cryin, desirin to come back
I remember when
I was sittin home alone
Waitin for you
Til 3 o'clock in the morn
And when you came home, you'd always have some sorry excuse.
And explainin to me, like I'm just some kinda fool
I sacrifice the things I want to and do things for you
But when it's time to do for me, you never come through
Now you, wanna be a bond of me (eyyy)
Now you, have so much to say to me (heyy)
Now you, wanna make time for me
What you do to me.
You confusin me
Don't play with me
Don't play with me.
Cause what goes around, comes around.
What goes up, must come down.
Now who's cryin, desirin to come back to me
What goes around, comes around.
What goes up, must come down.
Now who's cryin, desirin to come back
I remember when
I was sittin home alone
Waitin for you
Til 3 o'clock in the morn
Night after night
Knowin sumthing goin on
Wasn't home befo me
You was,you was gone
Lord knows it wasn't easy, but believe me.
Never thought you'd be the one that would deceived me.
And never do wha u was supposed to do
No need to hose me fool, cause I'm ova you
Cause what goes around, comes around.
What goes up, must come down.
Now who's cryin, desirin to come back to me
What goes around, comes around.
What goes up, must come down.
Gotta stop tryin, to come back to me
What goes around, comes around.
What goes up, must come down.
It's called Karma baby.
And it goes around.
What goes around, comes around,
What goes up, must comes down,
Now who's cryin, desirin to come back to me

Kookie for Cookie Crisps

I am soooooo into Nestle Cookie Crisps... they're itty-bitty cookies made from cereal. I finished half a box after dinner... try it.

Anyway, today, i went to the gym for the frist time in over a month and after a bout with influenza. I couldn't finish my workouts because I was too weak. My muscles seem to have atrophied. Oh, well... i'll try to go to the gym as much as i can the next few days... just to get back in shape.
