success and a much-deserved break

my event started out in shambles... it seemed like a total mess when i got there... and the organizer was too busy primping and setting things up for herself to host the event.

reality checks:
1. i was hired to be the writer only... i agreed to direct the show itself, ergo, i was expecting everything to be set when i go there
2. the event sponsors were totally clueless as to what the show would be and how it should be handled
3. the show was supposed to start at 8PM on the dot and the stage was not yet completed by 5PM
4. key performers and key people to start the event were not yet there and it was 8PM already
5. the event organizer does not know a thing
6. the performers didn't know what was happening.
7. the organizer wanted full documentation of the event but she didn't make any requesitions for tapes.

things I could have done without:
1. pa-special people
2. cameramen who take off their headsets
3. hosts who kept staying at opposite ends of the stage
4. hosts who don't pay attention to the stage manager

things to thank God for:
1. my wonderful production assistants
2. professional lights people
3. supportive, albeit clueless clients
4. friends who were there to help and give support like Joan and Saytee
5. blessings from God. He made things flow smoothly.

Basically, the event turned out well... I got paid, went home, then slept from 3 am to 10 am... the longest sleep i've had in a week.

I was supposed to get a massage today, but I felt I had to be more productive so I did some work and went to the mall to get some more work done... i ended up spending over 1,000 in body shop for products to help me get rid of my eye bags.

asked Cece a work favor... worked at Cece's office. After work, weended up fooling around... didn't want to, but a month of non-sexual contact with anyone takes its toll on one's self-control when someone starts teasing you...

i'm home now, reminiscing... looking forward to making lots and lots of money :D wish me luck

P.S.
Edil, thanks for the greetings
Albus, get well soon
